International Year One 

INTERNATIONAL YEAR ONE (Business & Management)

Your online pathway to a UK business degree: flexible, supported, and designed for international learners.

The UKAHAL International Year One (IY1) gives students a highquality, fully online route into Year 2 of a UK undergraduate degree. Whether you choose the full 3 term programme (including Term 0 academic preparation) or the accelerated 2 term option, you’ll build essential undergraduatelevel business knowledge, academic skills and confidence needed for successful progression.

 

3 TERM INTERNATIONAL YEAR ONE (37 weeks)

Fees:              £9,000
English level: IELTS 4.0 (in all subscores) or equivalent

 

The 3 term route offers the fullest preparation for students who want additional academic development, confidence building and structured support before completing the full Level 4 curriculum.

What You’ll Study

Term 0 – Academic Preparation (15 weeks)

A dedicated foundation term focused on academic communication, digital learning skills, critical thinking, research techniques and building readiness for UK highereducation study.

 

Terms 1 & 2 – Business & Management Pathway (22 weeks)

Across two academic terms, core areas of study include:

Core Business & Management Themes:

  • The business environment and organisational structures

  • People management and team behaviour

  • Communication within and between organisations

  • Marketing principles and customer insights

  • Financial and numerical information in business

  • Leadership, motivation and business responsibilities

  • Resource management and operational efficiency

  • Academic and research methods for business study

 

Live seminars, structured weekly tasks and guided academic support ensure students are fully prepared for the coursework assessments that underpin successful progression.

 

ACCELERATED 2 TERM INTERNATIONAL YEAR ONE (22 weeks)

Start:               December
Fees:               £7,900 (direct entry) / £6,400 (progression from UKAHAL’s IFP)
English level: IELTS 6.0 required (no subscores lower than 5.5) or equivalent

A faster route for academically ready students — including those progressing directly from the UKAHAL International Foundation Programme (IFP).

The accelerated pathway covers the full academic curriculum of the IY1 delivered over two intensive terms with the same highquality teaching, smallgroup interaction and academic support.

 

Your Progression Pathway

Students who successfully complete the International Year One can choose one of two progression routes:

1️⃣ Progress to a UK university (Year 2 entry)

Move into the second year of a wide range of undergraduate degrees in:

  • Business & Management

  • Accounting & Finance

  • Marketing

  • Economics

  • International Business

  • Other related business fields

2️⃣ Progress to UKAHAL’s Online International Year Two (IY2)

Continue your studies online with UKAHAL and complete the International Year Two in Business and Management.

After successfully completing IY2, you may progress to Year 3 (final year) of a UK undergraduate degree.
