UK University Readiness
Give your students a head start on UK university, without adding to your teaching load.
UK University Readiness is a school-year programme delivered alongside your students’ existing studies. It prepares them to apply to, and succeed at, university in the UK and internationally. UK-based academics design and teach it, so your school can offer genuine UK university preparation without building a programme or recruiting specialist staff.

How it works
Around 30-32 teaching weeks across one or two school years
2 hours of live online teaching and 2 to 3 hours of guided independent study each week

Bridge Courses
Do your students need to arrive at university confident, prepared and ready to learn the UK way?
Our Academic Bridge Courses are 5-week intensive programmes designed and taught by UK-based academics. They suit students preparing for undergraduate or postgraduate study taught in English.
Essential Study Skills for University
Students gain early exposure to UK academic culture and expectations, and build the study habits, workload management and academic resilience to succeed in their degree.
Mathematics Skills for University
For students heading into maths-heavy degrees such as STEM, business, economics and computing. Students strengthen core techniques, build their mathematical vocabulary in English, and gain confidence with unfamiliar problems.
Common Structure:
5 weeks, fully online
6 hours of live teaching each week (3 sessions of 2 hours)
4 to 5 hours of guided independent study on our learning platform
Live classes are shared across levels, with independent tasks tailored to each student
These can be delivered with adjustments based on your needs

Pathway Courses
UKAHAL’s Foundation and International Year One programmes prepare international students for undergraduate study. They combine academic subject study with the English and study skills needed for success at university.
We have ATHE qualified Foundation and International Year One programmes in Business and management and Computing and AI - each pathway can be delivered to groups or cohorts of students, and have built in progression options with UK universities.
