• Entry requirements

There are no minimum entry requirements for this programme. We assume students will have a strong interest or intention to study higher academic learning. In order to fully benefit from the course content, we recommend a minimum level of English equivalent to a 5.0 IELTS.

This programme is delivered fully online, allowing students to study from anywhere in the world.

Students follow a structured weekly timetable throughout each academic term, combining live tutor-led classes, independent study and guided learning activities designed to support academic success.

Teaching Approach
Unlike many online programmes that rely primarily on recorded or self-paced learning, UKAHAL delivers scheduled live teaching supported by guided independent study, helping students remain engaged, motivated and connected throughout their studies.

Whether studying alongside high school or preparing for progression into higher education, students benefit from a structured learning experience that combines flexibility, academic support and regular live interaction with tutors and fellow students.

• Programme Structure​

• 6 hours of live teaching (3 × 2hour sessions)
• 4–5 hours of guided independent study
• Weekly discussion and reflective tasks

• Self-access induction and orientation
• Live classes run over 3 days a week between 09:00 and 13:00 GMT (either Monday, Tuesday & Friday or Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
• (For the August cohort only) Live classes run over 3 days a week between 15:00 and 17:00 GMT (either Monday, Tuesday & Friday or Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)

Content:

• Week 1: Mathematical language, notation, interpreting word problems
• Week 2: Fractions — equivalence, simplifying, applying ​
• Week 3: Decimals — place value, number lines
• Week 4: Percentages — conversions, percentage change ​
• Week 5: Graphs & charts — interpreting data, averages
